Powdery mildew
Symptom
This fungal disease can infect all aerial parts of the plant. Early symptoms appear as irregular discoloration on the upper surface of leaves. As the disease progresses, these lesions become covered with white fungal growth. The entire leaf surface may develop a powdery, dust-like appearance. In severe cases, the fungus spreads across the entire plant, causing distortion and stunted growth. Premature ripening may occur. Infected fruit pods and seeds are often undersized, misshapen, and shriveled due to the disease.
