This disease is caused by bacteria and can infect leaves, fruits, pods, and stems. Initially, small, water-soaked lesions appear on the underside of leaves. These lesions gradually enlarge, coalesce, and form large brown patches surrounded by a distinct yellow halo. In severe cases, the affected leaves appear scorched and eventually dry out. On fruits, small, water-soaked circular spots emerge, which later turn brown and become sunken. A yellowish bacterial exudate may ooze from the lesions.
