The fungus responsible for this disease affects leaves, stems, petioles, and pods. Symptoms initially appear as reddish-brown to black streaks along the veins on the leaf surface. As the disease progresses, leaf discoloration becomes more pronounced. On stems and petioles, sunken, dark brown, oval to elongated lesions develop. Small, reddish-brown, slightly sunken spots also appear on pods. In the early stages, these lesions have a rust-colored appearance, but as the disease advances, they become depressed cankers surrounded by reddish-brown margins with a rough texture. Severe infection can cause pod deformation, significantly impacting yield and quality.
