Alternaria leaf spot
Symptom
On the leaves, dark brown water-soaked spots appear, often with concentric ring patterns at the center. Under severe infection, the lesions merge, causing the leaves to wither. The causative fungus also attacks flowering heads of crops such as cauliflower and broccoli, resulting in dark brown, moldy spots with dense fungal growth, leading to head rot. During humid and wet conditions, the disease spreads rapidly and can also be transmitted through seeds.
