Black leg/ Black spot

Symptom

In the portion of the stem in contact with the soil, dark brown lesions develop and may encircle the stem. The disease causes wilting, drooping, and stunted growth. Under severe infection, the stem may collapse. Upon cutting the stem, dark streaks are observed in the vascular tissues. This is a soil- and seed-borne fungal disease.
