Tomato Fruit Borer
Symptom
The female fruit borer lays its eggs either beneath the calyx or near the stalk end of the fruit. Upon hatching, the larvae immediately bore into the fruit to feed, often leaving behind small entry holes as visible signs of infestation. The larvae typically enter through the base of the calyx, and part of the larval body may remain exposed outside the fruit, making it easily noticeable.
