Thrip
Symptom
They feed destructively by sucking sap from the plant's leaves, young shoots, fruits, buds, and flowers. Infested leaves become curled and twisted upwards. Petioles elongate, and buds and flowers become dry, shriveled, and eventually drop. If infestation occurs during the plant’s vegetative growth stage, it results in stunted growth, and negatively affects flowering and fruit setting. Silvery patches or lesions may appear on the leaf surfaces, followed by leaf drying and death.
