Downy mildew

Symptom

Small, water-soaked spots initially develop at the tips of garlic leaves and gradually enlarge downward, turning yellow or brown. Under humid and wet conditions, the lesions appear pale yellow and are covered with fine gray or purple fungal growth. Infected leaf tips often curl and become dry. The disease can spread to the bulbs, causing them to be undersized, soft, and shriveled.
