Jassid
Symptom
The larvae are translucent and green in color, moving in a lateral manner. As they mature, the adult insects develop a yellowish-green sheen and take on a "sharp" shape, with a distinct black spot on their heads. Additionally, each forewing bears a single black dot. Both the adult insects and larvae extract sap from plants. Affected leaves exhibit yellowish specks, and in severe infestations, they curl inward, forming a cup-like shape. The plant's entire growth stage is impacted. These pests are particularly active during the pre-monsoon and monsoon cropping seasons, appearing from April onwards and causing extensive damage throughout the plant's growth stages, especially in late monsoon crops.
