Symptom
Can destroy every growth stages of corn. 3-6th instars are the most destructive instars. 1th instar feed on leaves as pin hole or transparent window pane. Pin holes, sawdust-like frass in leaves border and larvae feces are distinguished in whorl. When tasseling, larvae can damage developing ears. Then reduce filling kernels and can cause alfa toxicity.
