Cotton ballworm, ear worm

Symptom

Larvae feed on leaves, tassels, the whorl, and within ears, but the ears are
the most destructive sites.  Feeding on ears also enhances development of plant pathogenic fungi. Young larvae tend to feed on silks and interfere with pollination and reduce filling kernels.
