Gram Caterpillar
Symptom
The caterpillars primarily infest and damage the fruit pods of chili plants, often boring near the calyx area. The affected fruits become damaged and tend to drop prematurely. Infestation can also occur on flowers and leaves. On green fruits, the larvae typically bore from the base of the calyx, and the larvae can be easily observed.
