Symptom

The caterpillars cause severe damage starting from the seedling stage. Young larvae scrape the green tissue of the leaves collectively, leaving only the veins and giving the foliage a netted appearance. As the larvae grow, they chew and cut the leaves extensively, resulting in serious defoliation.
