Product Feature

• Shwe Mefen is selective herbicide, which may be applied pre-plant, pre-emergence or post-emergence control for broadleaf weeds and some grasses in beans, soybean, cotton, potato and pineapple.
• It acts by contact and is absorbed by leaves and roots, with very limited translocation in the phloem.
• Its primary mode of action involves inhibition of protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO), an essential enzyme in the synthesis of chlorophyll and heme.
• Certain germinating broadleaf weeds and grasses can be controlled or partially controlled by soil residual activity from either pre-plant or pre-emergence applications. But moisture is necessary to activate in soil.
